Bachmann 57xx and 8750 Pannier Tanks

I understand that the electrics of these pannier tank models have recently been upgraded to incorporate a DCC socket on the circuit board. Does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of about a dozen of these circuit boards as spares, so I can upgrade all my old panniers and remove the soldered-in decoders?

Bachmann don't sell spares (other than things like couplings or rolling stock wheels) through their dealer network. They will sell them through the Service Department at Barwell though, if they have them in stock. As the spares stock is manufactured at the same time as the main run of models, it runs out over time until a new batch of models is made.

Try contacting Bachmann directly by phone or email and see what they say. Do make sure first that the mounting points for the old and new circuit boards are in the same places and that there have been no body or chassis block modifications to allow space for decoders.
