Hotel Banana City, Winterthur

Hello all, I have just returned from a trip to Winterthur to visit a certain designer of diesel engines which were once very popular in railway locomotives (several name changes ago). I stayed in a hotel called the Banana City (yes, it really is called Banana City...) which is a few minutes from Winterthur train station and immediately (and I mean immediately) adjacent to the tracks. I had a room on the railway side and it is a perfect hotel for those who enjoy watching trains, however the railway through Winterthur is very busy (even in the night time quiet hours it is busy) and so it is rather noisy in the hotel. For any rail enthusiasts looking for a hotel in the area it is worth a look.
