Spitfire2865
Hello everyone. Im wondering if anyone produces L&Y wagon bogies. Im looking to build a D59 bogie open and the Bogie part is a bit of a brick wall for me. I don't have the knowledge or tools to make some from brass myself. Also, so far I have a single photo to go off of, and its not exactly clear on the details. Thanks for any help
RMweb Premium uax6 Posted June 5, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 5, 2015 Get hold of the two volumes of L&Y wagons by Noel Coates, plenty of photos and drawings in there. I would have thought that you could get away with any diamond frame bogie....... Andy G
Spitfire2865
Well....I don't even know the bogie wheelbases yet. And I don't have the budget for more books I will barely ever use. I also don't know of many suitable kits out there for bogies.

There are free drawings on the site that include a 30T Bogie Van. From memory - L & Y were one of the early users of the Diamond frame bogie - Very similar to the Ratio daimond frame bogie that used to be available as a separate item.
