  1. I heard it was a nice shop, but the owner is a bit of a tv mute!

  2. I met Dawn and her Monochrome layout at Abingdon and it was absolutely wonderful, a huge departure from the conventional and to be honest, a breath of fresh air from the normal run of the mill layouts. I think you had to look beyond what was obvious and see the hidden details. As @C126 said 'It is a splendid, original idea, and lovely layout'. I look forward to seeing this layout again in the future.

  3. Thanks for the brief chat at Abingdon last weekend. I did not like to waste your time, because I thought it might be in the videos to which you directed me. However... I am still wondering how you chose which shade of grey to paint each item. Did you pause the film at relevant 'stills' to take note? Or take an educated guess? Just curious. I confess I was in tears by the end of the film when I saw it for the first time a few years ago; I am a sucker for 'weepies'. It is a splendid, original idea, and a lovely layout. Look forward to seeing it again soon somewhere. Thanks and best wishes, 'Lean' (Neil).

  7. Spoken like a Trip Advisor blogger who has never visited the places they moan about.

  8. Some great photos Phil, I recognise quite a bit of the stock on there, I think they may have originated from a certain model shop.

  9. Apologies for the darkness of the photo. Draxbridge is going to be at the BARMATES show this Friday and Saturday. (I have put up a topic about that in the Clubs & Society news section) This will be the layout's second outing.
