eastwestdivide
Sheffield Supertram had an open day today (25 Oct 2015) to celebrate 21 years in business. A few photos from this morning. Speechifying and unveiling new artwork by Pete McKee: Repairs inside the depot. I think this was one of the two trams which had a slight bump recently: Multicar overhead maintenance vehicle, with pantograph attached: Pleasure trips through the washer: Comedy destination (it even says "Eyes" on the side panel): Rail welding demonstration by Volker Rail:

eastwestdivide
It was damp inside the "cleanest tram" when I went too, about 1130-odd. That wasn't you standing by the railing at the tram stop about 1230-45ish was it? Beside a Chinese-looking guy with a huge camera?

Lemmy282
Interesting to see that the artwork on the celebration tram shows a man with a dog, Supertram don't allow dogs on their trams, unless it is an assistance dog, and the artwork doesn't look like. I understand the bent parts of 120 and 118 are off to Bombardier in Derby for straightening, and when repaired 120 will again be painted in the Sheffield cream and blue livery. Talltim
I believe that one working tram will be temporarily made out of the non bent bits. Be interesting to see with the two liveries.
