Andy Y
A news summary from Warley will appear here through Saturday First news snippet is that Heljan are to produce a centre-headcode variant of the Class 37 in O Gauge and a Class B Oil Tanker in OO gauge. On show on the Oxford diecast stand is a rather attractive static diecast model of an Isle of Man Beyer Peacock 2-4-0T in 4mm scale and a Manx Electric Railway tram in 4mm scale; some basis for adaptation there! Both products will only be available through the Isle of Man Railway. Contact details in due course.

Andy Y
The forum outage yesterday unfortunately meant I couldn't bring you the Hornby announcements in real time but they've been picked up on anyway so this post is just a pointer to elsewhere on RMweb. Hornby Raven Q6 Holden B12 We also had chance to take a look at the J50 and the Peckett. Heljan New announcements were made above but we took a close look at the 1361, 1366 and the L&B loco - all very weighty for their size. RT Models Robert Thompson brought a Thomas Hill Vanguard round for a quick snap, very purposeful for a little loco. London Transport Museum / Bachmann As noted here the LT museum are launching two special edition, the finest livery applications I have seen from an RTR manufacturer. 61661
Adding to Andy Y's posts from the weekend, here's a selection of new and forthcoming items we managed to snap on Sunday at the NEC, including a host of items from Dapol, Rapido, Revolution Trains, DJM and others. Dapol's new 'Black Label' LNER A4, which includes an an extensive range of working features including DCC, sound, synchro smoke, die-cast body and wheels, working headlamps and much more. Look out for more details later. ARC Models resin body kit of an Andrew Barclay 0-6-0T industrial. Designed to fit on an Electrotren RTR chassis. It's the follow up to the RSH 0-6-0T featured in January 2016 edition of BRM. Ayjay Models Class 508 three-car EMU - available in kit form or as an RTR model, photographed on Phil Parker's BRM project layout 'Ruston Quays'. This is the first 4mm scale model of this family of 1970s EMUs (Class 313-315/507/508) and is a resin kit powered by a Black Beetle motor bogie. 3-D printed prototype bodyshell for the Dapol Class 50. A selection of views of the Dapol OO gauge Class 68 engineering prototype (and the bodyshell of the N scale version), showing the numerous separate details, etched grilles and more. Above: Engineering prototype of the Dapol OO gauge Class 68 alongside the bodyshell of its N gauge counterpart, due later in 2016. Engineering prototype of the Dapol OO gauge GWR streamlined railcar. Really impressive sample of Dapol's OO gauge Freightliner Heavy Haul HIA bogie hopper, which looks close to completion. Remarkably heavy for a OO RTR wagon it features a large diecast metal chassis block and extensive hopper/discharge chute detail. One to watch. 3-D print prototype of the Dapol Prototype HST power car in N gauge. Deco samples of some of the 12 limited edition Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0STs being produced by DJModels for Hatton's Model Railways. Engineering prototypes of Hornby's forthcoming BR 20t coke hopper wagon and SR cattle wagon. Final pre-production sample of Rapido's OO gauge APT-E set, being produced for Locomotion Models. Note the fine rivet detail around the panels. A modern descendent of the APT-E; Virgin's Class 390 Pendolino, being designed and manufactured by Rapido for Revolution Trains. These are the first shots off the tooling of a Driving Motor car and intermediate trailer. Really impressive levels of detail for an N gauge model, even on the bits you can't see underneath. But, before the 'Pendo' Revolution's debut N gauge product will be the superb modern TEA tanks, shown here in FHH and Greenergy colours. Loads of fine detail and tiny printed decoration. Expressions of interest are now being sought for the OO gauge version, which should be a winner if it's as good as its little sister.
