RMweb Gold Hattons Dave Posted June 1, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 1, 2018 Morning all, We are once again working with Heljan to produce a pair of exclusive O Gauge locomotives, following on from previous projects such as our exclusive variants of the Class 20 and 37/4. Two variations of Heljan's upcoming Class 50 will be available exclusively from Hatton's, showcasing two particularly iconic members of the class, pre-numbered in unique liveries. The two locomotives we have commissioned are: Class 50 50008 "Thunderer" in BR Laira blue - Exclusive to Hatton's Class 50 50015 "Valiant" in BR civil engineers 'Dutch' grey and yellow - Exclusive to Hatton's The two locomotives were famous for being painted into unusual liveries by the workers of Laira T&RSMD in Plymouth. 50008 received Laira's unique version of BR blue, nicknamed "Laira blue" and 50015 was the only Class 50 to be painted into BR Civil Engineers 'Dutch'. 50008 and 50015 were very frequently seen paired together working on railtours from 1991 until their withdrawal. Both locomotives were initially preserved with 50015 located at the East Lancashire Railway, however, 50008 has recently been repainted into its iconic livery and can be seen across the UK network. All versions of the model are due in stock in Q1 2019. Heljan have provided us with CAD images that you can see below and we hope to share colour layouts for our two locomotives as soon as possible. Both of our exclusive locos are priced at £599 and they are available to pre-order now! Both of these liveries are exclusive to Hatton's Model Railways. Both of our exclusive locos will be priced at £599 and they are available to pre-order from THIS page. Cheers, Dave
