Newbryford's mostly Yellow workbench - "it's a drag, man......."
For those that know me, you will agree that I have more than a passing interest in modelling Network Rail test trains in 00. I think it's about time that I detailed my work to show that it isn't particularly difficult in many cases to convert a r-t-r item into something more accurately representing the prototype than just simply painting it yellow.

A couple of weeks ago, I stripped down the first half of the HTA-HRA conversion (7 out of 16 - one is already done))
And attacked them with a small bench saw. (Proxxon with a diamond blade)
This was the resulting jigsaw.
And after not many hours work, this is where they're up to.
Just a bit of filling and sanding to do and almost ready for paint. ( I reckon it's less than 2 work hours per wagon from start to paintshop - there is an appreciable amount
