70009 is indeed on long term hire to Colas - it's been past me on 6J37 logs a few times. -

Bryford County. Downsizing.
newbryford replied to newbryford's topic in USA & Canadian Railroads 🇺🇲 🇨🇦
Time to crack on with BCT again, as it's off to the SEC Glasgow show in February! Earlier this year, a mate offered to weather a couple of cars for me. T These are the results. (The railbox will be graffitied.)- 84 replies

Hi Phil, Good to see you, Mac and Jack. Glad you liked the layout. There's still a lot more work to be done. (Alongside our own personal project layouts.) Bankfield already has a confirmed invite! -

Just looked and it's 9 (!) years since work on Bankfield was first started. This weekend was the first public debut and a massive thank you to a lot of hard work by the Blackburn & East Lancs MRS members, it performed as expected. TBH - even better than I expected with some new stock, new operators and the first time it had been moved out of the clubrooms to be fully reassembled elsewhere. Pics can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61568403517432 Still lots of work to do - commissioning the semaphores, tweaking the control systems, more scenic details and such like, but the hard yards have been completed. -
All I can say is we had 56098/049 looking and sounding great as a pair on the empty logs at Bankfield's debut show. (pity about the misplaced ground shunt signal - someone didn't get the memo as to which way round it should be installed....)

Some are still used. Apparently all the "phase 1" type with the ribbed extension on the doors have been converted to JNA-Y. From memory: I think that's only the blue/grey wagons that had those doors MRA-A/MRA-B/MRA-C types- the later batch that were delivered in yellow have a full smooth door. MRA-D/E/F. ISTR that the original production by Dapol had an error with the handbrake wheel positions - I wonder if that will be corrected? Pretty sure I di my first set, but can't immediately locate the thread/info. It was 11 years ago!

I wonder if the Hawk JNA-Y conversions will follow ? £191 at Rails!

First show with a couple of AS sheds at the end of next week. Only got them out of their boxes two weeks back. and the test running looks good One loose buckeye coupler, but otherwise all seems to be OK. Weathering to follow.
