RMweb Gold Russ (mines a pint) Posted October 29, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 29, 2009 That does look really good. In some respects an improvement in its own right, rather than just a timesaver as it removes two problems over the representation of ash ballast: 1) the coarseness of commercially available ballast, 2) the thickness of the peco sleepers which is very effectively disguised here. 3) unless you are now going to tell me you've already cut out the sleeperwebs it appears to sidestep that issue also? as there is a definite gap between rail and underlay. Impressed, I've really enjoyed modelling EM but the increasing lack of spare time, and a decision to get out on my walks/cycling even if it is raining (piling on the pounds ) is amking this sort of thing look really appealing! RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted October 29, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 29, 2009 That looks very impressive indeed Paul. I used the stuff on my Swiss N/2mm layout and until a few days ago I hadn't looked at it for 10 years and to my horror it had all started to disintegrate. I don't know if thoroughly painting it and excluding the air might have prevented it.
