RMweb Gold 57xx Posted July 4, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 4, 2012 I was taking down an old shed at the weekend and it struck me it might be useful to take a few snaps of what real weathered wood looks like. The shed has never had any treatment on it (it was here when I moved in and I never intended on keeping it) so this is natural sun baked weathering with some rotting thrown in for good measure! With the original colour showing also: The black and white spray blobs were to provide a reference for level balancing in Photoshop. And finally, the rot sets in... Mythocentric
Excellent pics. Detail shots are always useful and these are definitely going into my reference images. Nice idea with the black and white balance references. Something which I'll endeavor to do in my own reference shots in future.
