Baby Deltic
Following on from the earlier volume, this volume covers Engineers wagons into the TOPS era. Sealions, Seacows, Whales and Walrus's feature, along with various other 'fishkind' hopper wagons, Dolphins, Sturgeons, four wheel spoil wagons and ex-revenue stock. Track maintenance machines are also a feature of this volume, with various Plasser & Theurer types covered. This volume also has pictures of track laying equipment and some of the smaller cranes used for civil engineering work such as the Booth 16 tonner. Dave777
Has anyone got any more opinions or views on this book before I splash the cash? Thanks.
RMweb Gold griffgriff Posted August 14, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 14, 2012 It's a typical Larkin book IMHO. It's got an intriguing range of subjects that have reproduced reasonably well. It would be churlish to criticise the photographic quality from the pre-digital age since few others had the foresight (and commitment) to spend their free time wondering around wet and miserable marshaling yards hunting for prey. Overall I think the cover price is price is very competitive and well worth the pennies.
