gridwatcher
We are delighted to announce that Airthrey Park owned by Andrew Donnelly and exhibited by the new modern image group in Scotland 'SDEG' will have its only outing of 2015 at Ayr Show. This layout has been featured in magazines on 3 different occasions and is always well received by those of us with a penchant for the halcyon BR Blue days in Scotland. Large logo 37s and DBSOs and Stripey Shove Duffs abound!! Noisy too!!

gridwatcher
A few of Airthrey Park's 'pets' Namely. The Judith Edge 06 (which was never executed!) The 150 prototype (Bachmann cut and shut), The 140 which is MTK in origin and the wreck of 25038 which WAS a Scottish scrapper (at Polmadie) for years...... Come and see them in action at Ayr Show in a few weeks. The 06 built be a friend of 158722s the 150 was built be Andrew (158722 himself) The 140 built by Andy Elliott our late and great friend who inspired the layout. The 25 was a Malcolm Donnelly painted and detailed wreck actually based on a Hornby 25 (it has no motor) and inspired by pictures of the loco languishing at Polmadie and or Glasgow works for years. SEM63A
Hello All, Just a quick note from Perth! Fastleigh is ready to go to Ayr and we are looking forward to visiting again. I have been busy installing my new wireless Gaugemaster DCC controllers and mastering the art of power districts. The visitor will see that this layout is operated without barriers so you can get really close to the layout and the operators. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you can and if you want to have a go please ask. The Perth crew are looking forward to this show as always and look out soon for a few photos of Fastleigh on this forum. Stan

RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted September 20, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 20, 2015 Hi All, Good to see plenty of familiar faces at Ayr over the weekend.... Nice to have a good selection of some of the top layouts that represented 'Modern Modelling' in the best possible light. Stephen and the club are to be congratulated on achieving such a high standard of show. Now - Stephen has a challenge for next year.... How to make it better again or at least have the same quality! N Gauge modern layout? O gauge modern layout? Something totally different but outstanding? Over to you Stephen! Thanks
