not knowing the locos allocation and only photos taken in the Darlington and York area in that part of the world that's what made me think it was the Darlington they there are on other pictures taken in the hull area John

no i just have prints it did cross my mind the it could be neath but all the south Wales pictures have notes on the back maybe he could of missed this one they is also photos taken at Dyffryn yard Swansea and Ammanford and an unnamed coal mine John

i love looking round the internet for old black and white steam photos a lot of them make up for poor quality by having lots of atmosphere i was born 10 days before the end of steam on British rail but i do wish i had seen steam in every day use John
