  1. John, you may have thought of this already, but I would consider either moving the track in by a few centimetres, or placing some from of barrier along the edge in case of derailment. Murphy's law dictates all model railways, and I would hate to see some of your models fall victim to gravity....

if you look at the photo again you will is that there is a cardboard wall behind the point and track but thanks for pointing this out

  2. Looks like one hell of a layout. What size is it?

Just one quick question, why does the mainline narrow down into single track behind the scenic break? You appear to have room to keep it double track around that area.

the layout is 9 foot by five foot with a 4 foot fiddle yard which is not in the photos the mainlines go down to single track on the entrance to the fiddle yard

Hi there jbqfc (whatever that stands for :D) and welcome to RMweb from a fellow N Gauger.

You look to be making a good start and some steady progress which I will follow with interest.

  4. Before Marriage

John: At last, I can hardly wait!

Jane: Do you want me to leave?

John: No, don't even think about it!

    Jane: Do you love me?

John: Of course, always have, always will

Jane: Have you ever cheated on me?

John: No, Why are you asking?

    Jane: Will you kiss me?

    John: Every chance I get

    Jane: Will you hit me?

John: Hell no! Are you crazy?

    Jane: Can I trust you?

    John: Yes

    Jane: Darling?
