  1. Oh, this just got exciting again! It's great to see things starting to come together in one place Ron. Phil
  2. Hi Ron It's great to see you back in full-modelling-flow after several months concentrating on the underbuild. I've now caught back up with your progress and will continue to follow with interest and awe. I've said it before but the train shed truly is both a thing of beauty and a wonder to behold. Keep it up Phil
  3. Welcome back Ron; looking forward to even more inspirational work from you. ATB Phil
  4. Fantastic progress Ron. I have so missed your regular updates, but enjoying catching up now. The scale of your build just keeps on socking us right in the mush! Is that Mrs Heggs I see, now finding it impossible to keep out of the picture? Happy New Year to you and yours; 2012 will keep us all just as enthralled I'm sure. Phil
  5. Hi Ron Congratulations on reaching your 1000th reply, and 50000 viewings is going some too! You've kept me enthralled since I found your thread, and I'm looking forward to many more years of this. A round of applause and a "more, more, more" for you from my little friends: :clapping: :clapping: Phil
  6. So it's true then Ron; you've reached the point of dedication to your task that you don't even sleep any more! Phil
  7. Hear, hear! I second that. So I suppose you won't be adding the first of 12 million rivets any time soon? Keep it up Ron, we should all be so shamed. Phil
  8. About b****y time; that's great news Ron. I'm sure I speak for all your followers when I say that I am delighted you've finally got the go-ahead for your works. Now get building! Phil
  9. I've just spent many happy minutes reading this thread; for my tuppence-worth, I'd just like to say I think you're all giving 110% with your contributions! Phil
  10. Just - WOW! Every so often the scale of your project pops its head up and says Boo! This is one of those times. On top of that, you're planning to embark on what could become the cleverest fiddle yard ever. I can imagine some sort of conveyor mechanism carrying an entire station full of trains away and delivering a whole new fleet straight to the platforms - or is it just me getting carried away? Cheers Phil
  11. Hi Mike I've come across several posts on here from EtchedPixels who would advise you to use GIMP as an editor for PDFs. I understand that it is possible to unlock a secured PDF, then play with it. Now I'm no expert, but EtchedPixels is, and I'm sure would be more than happy to help if you got in touch. Cheers Phil
  12. Hi Ron Away for just a week and when I come back everything's changed! It's great to see the train shed roof again - it's what got me hooked on following your thread in the first place. Also to see the variety of work you've been producing in one place is just astounding; the enormity of your task just keeps hitting me in the face! Now to scroll back through and hit some more "Like this" buttons. ATB Phil Who do we talk to about getting a "Love this..." button?
  13. Remember also that John has already produced low relief flats - http://www.scalescen...ow-Relief-Flats - and I suspect this kit, perhaps along with roads and pavements - http://www.scalescen...s-and-Pavements - could be easily adapted to produce a smart-looking car park from a similar era to the flats. That said, I would second your request for a car park, with a modular/adjustable depth; it could allow quite a number of vehicles to be displayed on the layout without all the hassle of installing occupants for realism. ATB Phil
  14. Hi Ron Like many others I have been following this thread for many weeks, absolutely overawed with what you have achieved, as well as with your calm modesty. You truly are an inspiration to a large community of terrified "planners" who don't quite know where to start! You say "day to day survival." Of course, this was a little bit prior to the health & safety overkill we endure these days so it wasn't always just about hand-to-mouth living; do you have any figures on how many lives and limbs were lost during construction? The macabre inner-me can't help but imagine that there might just be a construction worker at his final rest in the bottom of one of those cylinders Cheers Phil
