  1. Well that's another computer gone down and no parts available.... Most stuff backed up but annoying just the same. I suppose 10 years isn't bad but the dreaded Windows 10 on a new one is a worry.

      Yes, Mac is definitely the way to go. Swopped over about 4 months ago when my trusty laptop died. The screen image is stunning, you don’t get that annnoying boot up sequence or the incessant upgrades...like Chris p says, it just works.

      I had win 10 as soon as it was available as a free upgrade from Win 8.1. I found more difference between 8 and 8.1 than between 8.1 and 10. Linux is good,you can run it from a CD drive or USB in a machine with a dead HD or even with no HD or SSD fitted

      You will know what I'm going to say Dave..as advised by people in the know buy a Mac.

      Very few ever ditch a Mac and go back to a PC..but the other way about?!.tells you something.
