I’ve been left very disappointed after waiting so long for my Deltic, it arrived on Friday on opening the box some parts were found unattached but the main disappointment was the sound. I suspect it has faulty speakers as there is a grating/rattle when power is applied which distorts the sound. However I must congratulate Accurascale though for their prompt action. After sending an email with video attached to illustrate the fault, I received an apology asked to return my Deltic together with details regarding returns all within the hour.

Bought my copy from Smiths at Sheffield Interchange today for 99p, also contained a gift card for 5 free issues when taking out a new subscription. The Interchange seems to be the only place in Sheffield with the 99p offer, bargain buy of the week if you ask me.

Further to my earlier post I was looking on Ebay today and came across a number of copies of Railway Modeller No 216, Volume 19 for October 1968 up for sale. Kirtley station from the Midland layout is featured on the front cover with the caption Midland Magnificence it was railway of the month for October with photographs by Brian Monaghan.
