  1. Thanks Bernard! The Brassmaster bits literally dropped on my door mat the second I posted that. They look very good, the instruction 'booklet' has however put the fear of god into me.
  2. Here is the latest arrival, as sort of first too - Thanks to this sub-forum specifically - it's my first WR Steamer. I wanted an LNER pacific so went hunting on ebay. Rails of Sheffield we're obviously flogging someone's old collection and a model of Humorist with it's one off deflectors was brought for £55 with a DCC chip in to boot. The photos showed up some issues, and as can be seen in the below (all I've done is taken the deflectors off and taken her numbers off) she's had better days. The body has also been treated to a brown brush over, all of which is to be covered by a liberal application of airbrush weathering. I plan on making her 'Salmon Trout': http://www.railbrit.co.uk/imageenlarge/imagecomplete.php?id=22763 I would like to bow to your better knowledge in these kettle matters and I wondered if anyone had tried this kit: http://www.brassmasters.co.uk/a3_details.htm (which I've brought) And whats the best company for Nameplates/transfers? I see that Modelmasters do locomotive changing kits with everything in a single bag for your chosen loco - anyone got any experience with these? Anything else she needs to be ON IT chaps?
  3. http://www.flickr.com/groups/1380364@N25/pool/page2/ Some WR photos, but some glorious photos all the same - Enjoy!
  4. It freaked me out that A4, although by the look of the photo the streaker is under some strain, so she's either pushing the little one backwards with solid set wheels or she's dragging it with her creaking boiler. Anyway that photo made me WONDER. Anyone got any ideas on it?
  5. Oh chard you mean this? http://www.flickr.co...N04/6256835748/ That Dapol 26 is so lovely, especially with drop in 2mm wheelsets. *there is TOO many things in that loco
  6. I tried to see if these had gone on before, but by Christ* himself there is a lot on here. I understand that Bruce's legend collection has been seen by most, but on looking for A4s and car trains I stumbled across this nice collection. The last one is nice, with the single Ford sat enjoying a face full of ash. http://www.scot-rail...to/scaled/8676/ http://www.scot-rail...to/scaled/9620/ http://www.railbrit....e2.php?id=25176 http://www.railbrit....e2.php?id=30509 http://www.railbrit....e2.php?id=29721 http://www.railbrit....e2.php?id=23975 http://www.railbrit....e2.php?id=31098 EDIT by 'CHARD * other figures of religious and cultural significance are available on request
  7. Indeed! http://nigelburkin.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/more-macrats/ Nigel has a GSYE one here, something not right about it? The font of the numbers? As soon as the news broke on Dapol's deviance I thought '2mm finescale Whitrope summit' but then had a lay down in fear of an episode.
  8. Cheers Matt, so close yet so far. That guy on Flickr has got some seriously rude shots, including this one: I'm assuming from the caption that was a WR train? Off topic, but part of the same collection, unbelievably awesome photo:
  9. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24041160@N02/2786739679/in/set-72157622602429982/ Another random found while looking for BRCW Type 2 money shots.
  10. Hello dudes, Was checking out this website for some other bits and I've found some nice shots - again I hope it isn't a repeat http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/1612/60052-Hawick-280865-RP1.jpg.html http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/5936/60528-Riccarton-101265-RPCBR777001.jpg.html http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/10432/61029-Y-Hawick-1955-RPC481.jpg.html http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/9731/60007-Y-HawaickSouth-260964-RPC258.jpg.html http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/5942/60976-Riccarton-101265-RPCBR776.jpg.html http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/5895/45530-Whitrope-101265-RPCBR693-1.jpg.html My fav: http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/1034/D8570-D8573-Newcastleton-250666-RPC053001.jpg.html And this one for no other reason than it's hellfire awesome: http://www.railphotoprints.co.uk/index/detail/1802/6130-Eastfield-110170-RP346.jpg.html
  11. Gents, (purists please excuse) but I'd like to add this in order to signal the intentions. Excuse the B/G Mk1 and the random 08.
  12. Thanks Gents. Indeed 'Chard J39s are worming their way into the stock roster. Here's another couple that sparked my juices http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/5734308642/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/5734278950/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/5733725513/in/photostream/
  13. Sorry to jump in at such a late and developed stage - 'Chard excuse the interruption but I found some that might be worth a share. http://www.flickr.com/photos/64215236@N03/6093678398/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/5789276277/sizes/l/in/photostream/ I hope to be able to dip in and out with some more stuff in due course and the inspiration on the WR is ON IT. Keep it up! Oly
  14. Update on it's way soon, as soon as I get to the post office
