Your trackwork is amazing. First the super elevation, and now a humungous cant gradient!

Ha!  My railway shed is out of bounds at the moment as my wife has filled it with stuff from her mum’s house after she passed away, so I can’t really complain!

Hence an oval outside my garage is all I’ve got!

No, 0 - 30. At least, those are the values shown in the LokProgrammer.

As zr2498 reminded me earlier, the LokSound decoder must have up to date firmware as well (easily done with the LokProgrammer).

It seems highly likely that the decoders will have the latest firmware from the factory? Perhaps Fran can confirm?

  3. Right, hopefully this will help some people in a similar situation.  Late last year I had some spare cash and phoned and paid in full for 2 of the 4 I’ve now ordered.

In early January I had an email saying that they didn’t need payment details as I’d paid, and that I was a very early order, so mine should be one of the first out of the door (25324).

5 months later I felt it was fair to ask for an update.  To be fair to them they responded in a few days and it turns out that the issue was the fact I’d paid for 2 locos, only one of which was in stock.  They’ve now split the orders, and I’m told my sound fitted 25324 should be with me next week.

So, anyone else who has paid in full for two different 25s, one of which is still to arrive from china, may be in the same boat as me.

  4. . After defending Accurascale on various forums (especially YouTube where people seem to try and make their titles sound as dramatic as possible) I now too have experienced motor failure on one of my 37s.

I know I go through Accurascale customer services but has anyone had to return one recently, and if so what was the turn around time like?

  5. Was online a couple of weeks ago when Rails put their last 56s on line, all of them being in-house weathered versions.  I’m always a little cautious with “production line” weathering (they had lots available), but I have to say I’m chuffed to bits with what I got. Anyone know who did the weathering for them?

Ok I was under the impression some had paid and were still awaiting delivery, if thats not the case fine, but the other comments still stand about not insulting people.

Yep, I paid in full about 5 possibly 6 months ago.  I don’t expect that to get me my models any quicker though.

Got my shipping notification for the Blue and Grey ones at 2pm this afternoon. These were ordered on 28 August 2021.

Well, my wait by the door today for mine ordered on the 26th of August 2021 resulted in me intercepting a box with accurascale printed on it. YAHOOO!

Except it was from TMC and they were just reusing it to send a model plane I bought for my son :-(

Not had my RTC coaches either. I swear the picking line I always get is the one made up of smokers who need a fag break every half hour 😂

Ah well, they’ll be here when they’re here, I’ll just have to deal with my jealousy of those posting their coaches ordered after mine 🤐

And don’t forget also the exorbitant listing and selling fees. You’ll need to sell them for significantly more than your purchase price to break even. I wish you all the best though, it sounds like you’re going through a rough time.

I only sell on 80% offer weekends, for example a record I sold for £103 only

cost me £3.06 in fees, a railway turntable that sold for £209.69 only cost £5.67 in fees.

Would it help to cancel your orders and be refunded to free up some cash?

I’m gambling on them going for more than I’d get if refunded as they are sold out.  It’s a risky option when I always use 1p no reserve auctions but need to raise as much as I can, really don’t want to lose the car……

Oh man that doesn't sound good.

Mate, it’s horrible. Really horrible.  It’s the kind of money that effects us setting our 11 year old son up when it comes to Uni, buying his first house, etc.

I’ll say one thing.  I dreaded logging back on and seeing that I was being accused of profiteering, etc.  The fact that the only responses are 9 “hearts” and yours has renewed my faith in human nature when it’s been severely tested!  Rest assured that anything I sell will go on an auction with a 1p starting price, as I always do.

Just wondering,  how many folk are still waiting on their 25's ?

Put it this way, I am and Jennie emailed me some weeks ago and said “ I can see that you have made payment for your first pre-order with us and that yours is one of the oldest orders so you will be amongst the first in the queue”.  In others words, some serious patience is going to be needed by people, for reasons explained multiple times on here already.

    Hi Folks

I was chatting to Phil Sutton last night on other matters and I asked him how it was going with the Class 25s….this is what he told me :

“They are only sending out the first two models (D7599 in Green and 25324 in Blue) at this stage.

People only need to contact them directly if they have changed delivery address or telephone number/e-mail. They will get in touch with customers if they need anything else, usually to update payment card details.

Bear in mind SLW is only a small company open four days a week (Tuesday to Friday) and are working through a massive number of orders. It will take a good few weeks to get through them all, so some patience will be needed. Payment having been taken indicates things are progressing and Royal Mail will send a tracking info e-mail when out for delivery (tracked and signed for). Ringing ad hoc will only slow things down.”

I hope that helps set everyone’s mind rest.  I also have models on order so patience is needed.  From what I saw of the pre-production models whilst operating Mostyn at the Spalding show last year, they will be worth the wait

    regards, Chris

So basically what I posted two weeks ago from Jennie…….. ;-)

    Yes dad 🙄

As that is obviously aimed at me

If there are models I have reserved not showing on my list, I have the right to find out what is happening, I could sit here patiently like I have been doing and then the next batch arrives so they are busy again and the longer I leave it the more of a chance of missing out because I didn't advise them soon enough. They are actually getting the models out to people now so things are better than when you bothered them yourself during packing.

It doesn't matter that the 24/1s are further away! I ordered them way before the 25 was even announced and seeing them missing is concerning especially as its the 24/1s that are more important to me personally than any of the 25s I have ordered. Better to get it sorted now than wait and it be too late.

I'm due in hospital for an operation to remove cancer and part of my kidney from my only remaining kidney in a matter of days and I'm stressed as hell, and I want to sort stuff out as soon as possible while I'm able because I don't know how long I'll be out of action. And I want it sorted while I'm thinking more straight.

I've been very honest with people why I was refusing to change my card details yet, as my locos weren't in the first batch so there was no rush because they were very busy. Even though they were ringing them themselves I didn't want to bother them myself, but when something comes up that starts to concern me like items missing, I'm going to contact them (by email so they can select a time when to read emails, not like phoning) the last thing I need is to be singled out and chastised for doing so by someone who contacted them himself at their busiest!

BTW I have a friend who contacted them two days ago to change card details  and the very same day his model was posted out, so I'm guessing they are catching up with packing and posting

Just because you feel guilty for contacting them and starting a snowball effect of others contacting them, it doesn't put you in a position to tell others off for contacting them about a different subject

I’m sorry, I didn’t read all that, the sheer length and opening tone ensured that.  People who think they’ve got a lot to say usually have very little, I find.

You are partly right, I felt guilty about having contacted them before xmas (even before the current levels of hysteria), but in what universe does posting their very clear and detailed update START a snowball effect.  The whole point of posting it was to help people not make unnecessary contact!

However, I apologise thoroughly if the effect of my post on your good self was the complete opposite of that…….

I emailed Jennie in the office some time ago and since then there has been quite a bit posted on here by buyers.

Jennie responded today, which I feel bad about knowing how busy they are, but hopefully by copying this below, it’ll stop unnecessary similar emails slowing them down!

”We’re not yet in a position to despatch the locos that have arrived (despite rumours!) but do hope to get started on these soon once all the necessary checks are complete.  I can see that you have made payment for your first pre-order with us and that yours is one of the oldest orders so you will be amongst the first in the queue.

There are just a few of us here in the workshop and lots of customer orders to work through but we’re excited to be so close to making a start on them now.  We plan to despatch the models using Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 service and will be entering customers’ email addresses alongside their physical ones so you will first receive notification that Royal Mail have your parcel and then be able to track it/make arrangements for redelivery if this is necessary so hopefully that will work nicely for you.”

Just reposting my post from last week as there still seem to be lots of people determined to slow down delivery of these locos by calling/emailing about their order because of some reason that means their situation is “unique”…….

Stop bothering them about locos (24/1s) which aren’t even due for a loooooooong time.
