  1. On the subject if houses getting smaller, many of us will be thinking about lining the inside of our exterior walls to improve insulation, probably about a 120mm-150mm layer of insulation and plasterboard. It could make sense with enervy prices going through the roof(somewhere else to insulate). Robin
  2. My late father built the layout in the loft of his bungalow. 48'x10' space with Taunton station taking up 22' on one side. It was never completed but all the track was laid and working.
  3. Gem 57xx on Triang Jinty chassis, Kitmaster coaches with metal wheels and pinpoint axkes. Nickle silver track. My King pulled 22 coaches.
  4. The one thing that Triang TT had was reliabillity. I never had problems with dirty track as long as I did rudimentary cleaning occasionaly. Scale length trains were not a problem either if you had whitemetal loco bodies on the standard chsssis. My 64 year old pannier can still pull 14 coach trains. I want to see a comparable performance in the new scale.
  5. I was wondering whether to issue some of my 1/200 scale card locos from my Millimodel kits at 1/120 scale. I have test built them at 1/100 with extra parts and they seem OK. GCR 4-4-2T at1/100 pictured below. Robin
