Nicely shoe horned into your loft Chris. Will you have much room for scenery?
i am currently working out how to squeeze my layout into my garage. More coaches are currently on the way.
Hope you recover from your ankle soon.

How on earth did you manage to break your ankle Chris?
The representation of Newport engine shed looks very convincing. Nicely weathered too. Now take some brave pills and hit those coaches with some weathering too! You have a nice collection of coaches coming along. I assume by the quantity of carmine red that you are going for a period of 1952-1955, before coaches began to return to green.
With Medina Wharf being worked on are you now virtually done with the civil engineering side of the layout? I bet a track plan would look quite interesting now. (Cowes, Newport and Medina Wharf)
I have some plans of the Royal Oak pub (Terminus Road) from Pete (IWCR) if you would like. I read that you have CAD drawn the rear of the houses overlooking Cowes station. How was this attained? - purely via photo evidence? It is a pity the frontages won't be modelled as they are a great improvement to the rear. I assume it will be your intention to model the cottages opposite Ganges, Wheatsheaf PH and the church then the smaller cottages down to Fountain garage?
Watching for your future threads with interest.

Good luck with this section of the IOW Chris. The loft layout must be looking quite good now with Cowes and Newport partly done.
Do do you have any timetables for the IOW? As you know I am modelling Cowes 1950 and to date have not located a BR timetable for this period.
i have one more rake to complete and possibly 1 more O2 then the buildings will continue in earnest. I must upload some photos as I progress

I spent 10 years researching and building properties for Cowes only to decide overnight I wanted a through station and am now building Merstone due to be housed in a garage permanently. Will I regret it - I don't know. Cowes is where I have site-visited, I have nearly every building in either photo form, drawing or dimensions of. There is very little in the way of structures for Merstone and no-one appears to have a detailed drawing of the station building itself. All photos of it are from the most obscure angle.
I can see me cracking on with Merstone but when I need a building 'fix' will select one of the building from Cowes. Either that or an Island 'village' will be built over the top of my fiddle yard, both to get my building fix and also to keep dust off/damaging stock within the fiddle yard.
Good luck if you decide to re-start. Will you be able to utilise any of the existing 'empire' ?
