The LSWR service from Wimbledon to Ludgate Hill still exists.

The main problem is that I'm tone deaf!

I use aluminium ears on the cassettes. These are on the "Shoe" cassette and the loco cassettes, but not on the stock cassettes. The ears are attached with bolt and nut, the latter extending a quarter of an inch and electrical connexion is achieved with crocodile clips.

I spent one term, trying to learn the bassoon. Advised to give up.

Rob posted the green and cream coaches on his WHL4 thread recently, so I thought that while I have some baseboards up, I’ll show what I intend to do with mine.
Here we have the new Ellis Clark Black 5 which will become 5407 once I have some transfers. I have 5 of the coaches but only two would fit nicely on this board! Here is the full train on the EKOGG test track.
I’ve obviously got some sorting out of lamps to do!
Andy
The coaches are a sort of green and yellow colour, would you describe them as "Canary" coloured, Andy? And we did you a bit of a favour today! Bill

A couple of cliffhanger games in today's six nations. A shame that Scotland didn't finish the job against Frogland but at least England did finish the job against Wales - it was a bit tight though. I could hear the howl from the Muddy Hollow at the whistle.

Woke up to sunshine, so put a wash on. Cycle finished but there is now mizzle in SE London.
What to do this afternoon? I can't watch the Rugby because Wales always lose when I watch. So I need to find some distraction, perhaps build some cassettes for the fiddle yard?

One wonders if the "first fifty" built one way was misinterpreted to think that included 73050, whereas of course fifty on 73000 gets to 73049. Something that wouldn't have been a problem under the TOPS numbering scheme, with every series starting at "1". Just a theory!
John.
Not a problem on the Southern, we sensibly started with a "1".

I have three "pull along" suitcases - small, large, enormous. The size is determined by what I may bring back, because Spur Null isn't small and can be very well packed!
Preferred travel clothing is shirts with a top pocket (the safest place to keep key documentation), cargo shorts or trousers (the knee pockets are useful) and a gilet. The latter is actually normal wear, one side pocket for handy and glasses case and the other for an emergency medical kit (gloves, masks, Clinell wipes and pulseox).
Cold and wet in my corner of London, the weather that I really hate, so I'm indoors today. I may catalogue my N gauge stock for sale. I'm downsizing to a tram layout that I shall name Pastor Bonhoeffer Park. Dave F knows about this as he gave me some catenary posts that will be used when the trams traverse the park.

For a Southern enthusiast, a Mickey Mouse was an Ivatt 2MT tank. The Bulleid Q1 class were Charlies; unless you were on the footplate, when an adjective would be included, given their lack of brake power.

I cleared a shelf in the back bedroom and found a couple of O gauge Kemilway brass kits.
GNR D277 and LNER D257
I no longer have a need for them because I've moved on to other projects. I'm posting on WW because I would like to sell them to someone likely to build them and also because a few bits were never provided. I'm unsure of value but am not out to make a killing. Bill

Andy, just now I had just left "The Night Mail" and was about to enter "Wright Writes". Went upstairs to get some information, came down and the screen was plastered with MacAfee warnings, Bill

How tall do you think the folded ironing board is?
The racking system is a very expensive way of mounting a single shelf that has been in place for about 15 years
Hacksaw? That is sooooo yesterday. The angle grinder with a metal cutting disc is much quicker.
That's another finger gone.

That can't be Polish Andy. There are far too many colours on his overall - there should really only be Fresh Flour surely.

Simon came round today and we finished rewiring the layout. It is just about ready for Longfield next weekend.
Not unsurprisingly, we forewent the garage in favour of the kitchen worktop. A few getroundtuit jobs and Blindheim will be ready to pack.

Typing this on the handy. I'll explain why.
I have been carrying baseboards into the kitchen to start a rewiring. Well I still have a fortnight to the next show. The work will be finished on Friday.
Having rewired board 3, I decided to finish the ballasting. Only two short lengths which took about an hour. Standard PVA technique advocated by every magazine editor from CJF onwards; and I remembered the washing up liquid. All fine and dandy except I have wet ballast and must turn the board on its side on Friday.
So the board is sitting on two chair backs above an oil filled radiator in front of my computer desk. And I'm using the handy!

So did I, instead I was finding illustrations for an article (written by Norman Pattenden) on rates for agricultural traffic.
