Hi all,
I know that the topic of Zimo chuff settings have been discussed elsewhere however my issues haven't been covered so much (unless I've missed something!). I have 2 O scale engines in question that boggle my mind when it comes to setting the "virtual cam" chuff setting. One is a Dapol Terrier fitd with an MX644D and the other a Tower Brass GWR 4575 MX645R, both loaded with Tony Moleneux's sound from Digitrains.
Firstly, I set the chuff rate at 10 speed steps as instructed on CV267, and then set it at 1 step. However the Terrier doesn't even begin to move at 1 speed step making it rather difficult and so I have set this at the step where it does being to move, and whilst the 4575 does move off at 1 step, both locomotives go vastly out of sync by top speed. This is then all ruined by changing the speed steps from 28 to 128 on the Lenz system and the chuff then being out at most speed steps.
Thus appealing to those more in the know, what am I missing?!
Best and thanks
Tom
