Great looking Layout! Your skills are enticing me to make a start at making a layout again! Is the length of the whole layout really 4ft by 1ft? Also what coach length can you get in the station? As well as the bay platform? Many Thanks and Happy New Year! Best Wishes Andy

Hi Colin, I was a member when Fred was alive and so that must have been around 16 years ago or there abouts. (Young Dave should remember me if he still a member with the club) Good to see some of the original features of the layout have been kept. I did hear that some of the TMRC members had bought it between them. A shame as I was too late by the time I had shown my interest in it. I am hoping to go to the Exhibition at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge in February. If I do; I will pop over and introduce myself. All the best Andy

Hi Colin, If I remember correctly; wasn't Dennis Pigeons ex layout controlled by 3 people - 1 in the middle and 2 either end? I did help Dennis out at Tonbridge Model Railway Exhibition; many moons ago! Best Wishes Andy

Such a fantastic layout Kevin - I've been looking and reading all this for inspiration all day and I can't compliment you anymore than the other members have done so far! I threw out what would had been a great layout; about 12 years ago for the bin-men and I deeply regret it...Thanks to an ex-gf. I am in the process of getting inspiration and a fairly small space for a layout at the moment. Would certainly be good to see a steam excursion with a Merchant Navy or West Country come in on you're layout for a limited time only; even if hauled by a Class 47. 47500 seems to be flavour of the month at the moment on bcking duties. :-)
