Oh blimey!  The bogies aren't the simplest to refit.   I suggest you write to us via the support email address; our repairs agent has a technique for refitting bogies and will probably be able to take you through it.

    cheers

Unlike plainline concrete sleepers on S&C is very new - well the last 15 years. For most of the BR period we only had wooden bearers/sleepers with vertical FB track. Presumably the geometry is the same, it just needs a different base.

they were about in the 1990s as well as i rememberer installing one at south end of prestonpans station in 1995/96

    hallo,

If you wish to pre-order right now, you can pre-order at Rails of Sheffield. Check out the RoS site. Prices are identical and no money taken right now. I have ordered my 92s this way.

It may not solve the password problem right now, but you will have secured the 92s, and you can work on the password more relaxed.

    Hope this helps

if you do not get the password change Email from the website then it has probably been throw away by your ISP as being spam, and not put in the your junk/spam folder. You probably will not get notification emails of models shipping either. this is what happen to me. I created a new account on the website using a different ISP and can change the password fine using that one.

So it is probably your ISP that is stopping the mails getting to you.

However I think that it a RevolutionTrains issue that is causing your ISP to drop the mails. there is a thing called Sender Policy Framework (SPF, no nothing to do with Sun Protection Factor).

SPF has a list of servers that can send emails from Revolution Trains and I think that at least one system which is part of the website is not listed, therefore your ISP assumes the website emails are using forged addresses. The list does include the RevolutionTrains mail system.

Incidently if you use the contact system on the website RevolutionTrains do get the message and you should get the reply.

Not all ISP’s enforce the SPF check at present so if you have a second email address/different ISP you may be able to get the notifications by changing. if your second email address is with the same ISP as the first then the change will probably not work. British  Telecom is one ISP that enforce the Check but Hotmail (Microsoft) do not or did not when I had the same problem. But SPF checking is being implemented by more and more ISP’s to stop the Spam

funny thing is i get all other emails from revolution trains regarding product updates etc

but its all sorted now password changed after 10 goes and cl92 ordered

    cheers

  6. Make sure the decoder is fully seated, the next18 can because little finicky, when I first fitted my zimo decoder the loco was dead, tested the decoder on my decoder tester and all was working fine, put it back in the loco and thisctime it worked without an issue. Remove and re-seat it.

Watch out getting the body of as some have reported issues doing that, although mine just popped of like all my other Farish diesels.

seems to be working now sort of

    in one direction only thou

  7. I am not sure how well that controller will work with DCC sound and the extra functionality of a Next 18 decoder, It is very basic.

I run a Gaugemaster Prodigy Advance and my 40s with Zimo sound chips are excellent on that.

A more knowledgeable person than me will doubtless advise.

    Regards

    yeah very basic controller

just strange why theres no movement

    move on DC fine

  8. anyone having problems running on DCC ?

i can get sound out it but no movement and the lights only working on one end

i am a first time DCC novice so no doubt doing something wrong

  9. Hi all

My sound fitted 40141 arrived in Oz yesterday and has been run in - impressive range of sounds even on DC only and I agree that it is a lovely model. Speed is much slower than many other recent N gauge models but prototypical for a 40.

However I have a question - today I have found that the sound abruptly cuts out when running at full speed (running DC only as I don't yet have DCC), and returns when the controller is reduced to about 90%. I appreciate that full speed running is not very prototypical but wondered whether this is a characteristic of DC running or whether the model is faulty and should be returned. Has anybody else encountered this? The sound performance is continuous, provided the controller is kept below about 90% full power.

For the purposes of running in I have been using one of the Bachmann Graham Farish standard train set controllers (no PWM or high voltage track cleaners etc).

    Interested to hear any comments?

    Cheers

    Tom.

funny enough mines is doing the same using a standard Bachmann controller and set track out of the parcels trainset mines is even stopping on curves which might be down to the radius

what is the minimum radius to run on for the class 40
