  1. Many thanks Smokebox. I will give it a go.
  2. I have recently started a layout in DCC. My very good friend has done the baseboards, track and electrics for me (I am better at scenery). The trains ran well but for some reason this weekend, most of the trains will only move on Address 2 despite all being given their own addresses. I have a Hornby Select as that is all I can afford at the moment. I have tried to re-programme the locos without success. If anyone has any ideas I would be extremely grateful.
  3. Hi Pete Thank you for this. I used the 50/50 method with PVA and water with a couple of drops of Fairy Liquid. The majority looks ok and as you say, has set rock hard. I will give the hot water method a go in the morning.
  4. Hi All I am fairly new to modelling so forgive me if this is a much asked question. I have laid my track with a lot of help from a very good friend and tested it and all was good. I then decided to try ballasting. I took my time and didnt think I had put too much on. However, trains are stalling on it. I have got a couple of tracks running through the use of a track rubber and by getting some ballast off the rail tops. I have removed it from anywhere near the side of the inside rail too. Unfortunately, some of the 50/50 glue mix seeped under 2 points and have stuck them solid. What is the best way to remove the glue from under a point that is secured down and what techniques do you use for ballasting? Thank you in advance for helping out a novice.
