Hi, Sir Douglas, yes, I have seen that, was an exhibition we did quite a few years ago now but it was without the bracket signal beyond the bridge.
the layout was featured in BRM magazine but was in its earliest form.
thanks

Great to see Mick and all your own work by hand, no computers to help do the modelling for you, nice to see the skills still being used.

Great models!
I do hope you get around to building a full layout on Ormskirk as it is a part of the world much neglected by railway modellers.
For some reason the railways of Liverpool and North Merseyside have been neglected for modelling and I've always been at a loss to understand why.
Always thought Rainford Junction would make a great club layout too .I'd actually join a local club on the basis of them building that!
Yes, I have thought of building it, in the past but you would need a lot of space to justify it, as it’s a junction.

Hi Mick,
It’s coming together nicely and as you start to paint it, what colour scheme will it be?
Peter -
I think I will paint one in LMS and one in BR, so they should look similar in reality.

A couple more I made some years ago. The LMS bracket is fabricated from brass strip and angle and as working "Rocker Shafts" on the front trimmer as per prototype.
I cant remember much of how I built the LNWR bracket, or who's etches I used for the arms. The brackets are probably ex Ratio. The main post, dolls and trimmers will be brass bar etc. Mick.
Awesome Mick

Hi Mick,
its nice to see it coming together and I love that chimney stack, with the different layers of brick.
What have you use for the curtains, tend to use curtain photos out of Argos catalogue nowadays and split toilet tissue for nets, seems to work okay.
looking forward to seeing it complete Mick.
cheers

11 years, incredible, I would say it’s probably more than 15years since the first stages of construction began but then again f I think about it, I bet it’s nearly 20 years.
