Hi, I would like to start a challange like that but mine would'nt be a steam loco, it would be a Ruston & hornsby 88DS diesel shunter like this one at the lincolnshire life museum, Lincoln. I found this picture of the one I will model; I just need help on what chassis to use, I think i might use a cut down class 04 shunter, but I think they are a bit expensive. could anyone help me with that, the body I think will be plastikcard ( i think i spelt it right, fingers crossed). I will post any info on a new topic. thanks

Hi, My N gauge layout is based on Barmby Moor in Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire near Retford. It is an extremely simple layout, I will post a track plan later, it will basically have a tunnel at the left end and a level crossing in the middle and disappear into trees and will follow a road (The old Great North Road) which runs over the bridge,and behind the trees will be a housing estate. it will be set in modern day Britain, (loads of 91's and DVT's and HST's) with a similar timetable to the real line.
