    ..is wandering why most of France is suddenly on holiday and, (more importantly), why nobody told me! Also, today I learned that “Auto Ecole” dosn't mean Taxi!!

      Auto Ecole actually means "Crazy learner driver look out!". I think the best way to describe France is Idiosyncratic!

      For those wandering why, the "Auto Ecole" sign looks the same as a Taxi sign with both mounted on their roofs.
