You've done a great job there on your 56XX. The additions you've made and the weathering are spot on.
The overhang of the smokebox does give it an imposing look. I've been eyeing up the JLTRT kit as a future O gauge project.

I dont think that we really have room for a wessie either - time will tell - a Teddy Bear would have been nice as it would suit the smaller layout....
That was what I tried to express to the Heljan chaps, but I guess I was in the minority.
I had heard that an 08 maybe on the cards, but this definate then (announced at Alex. Pally)?
Yep, it's all here:

Hi Brian/Chaps..
Did anyone else know that Heljan proposed a Cl14 in 7mm (RTR)?
According to Tower, the project was ditched due to 'lack of interest' and Tower stated that 'we were never in favour of this and have declared ourselves out already'.
Was anyone here asked if they would like a RTR Cl14 in 7mm? Or GOG/MIGO/Western Thunder et al???
Perhaps Heljan should take a leaf out of Dapol Dave's book and ask the modellers?
Perhaps this is some clever reverse psychology ploy?!
Perhaps this is old news and Im the last to find out?

I found out about it at Telford last year. The chaps on the Heljan stand were asking for opinions: Western vs Class 14.
If I remember correctly it was about a fortnight after Telford that they announced that the Class 14 was being ditched in favour of the Western.
I was gutted. I don't have room to run a Western.

That's a great looking build.
Could it be the best 8F kit ............... in the world!

Great stuff Brian.
Would one of the new JLTRT Class 22s make an appearance in this fantastic line-up?

Cheers,

Thanks for posting this news Simon.
I'd better start saving!

That's some fantastic work you've done there Brian on your CK. The bogies are particularly nice.
Just one thing which I'm not sure if you've noticed, in the last photo the brass step to the left of the buffer looks a little bent.
Favourite woman alert!

I just stumbled on this thread.
Seeing as doctors are popular on the thread at the moment I'll just point out that Dr. Alice Roberts was on BBC2 again last week talking about Wooly Mammoths.
