Me. Spoken to retailer who has stated postal problems of sorts. Fingers crossed for an arrival this week.
Yes, I'm waiting too, but it must be so frustrating for said retailer.

How about some Canton based 37/4's in Large Logo 1980's style? Pretty please!

Oh Yes!! 31435.....a Bescot Ped!! As soon as Colletts Models list them, I'm putting in a deposit!

For me, my 00 Scale wishlist would be:
304 x 1 3 Car in Blue and Grey
310 x 2 4 Car in Blue & Grey (Original Cab Windows)
310 x 1 4 Car in Midline
Cheers

I'd like to see some Canton Based Large Logo 37/4's or some standard 80's Banger Blue Tractors for my W Mids based layout.

50050/D400 (even though not announced as yet), is high up on my list. Either in Large Logo or as she was at the end of the Class 50's in BR ownership. Looks like I may have to part with my 16 Hornby Vacs, and replace with these beauties!!

Oh dear. 87009 no. 2 arrived today and the paintwork is awful. The lower grey is alnost an off white not light the light stone colour and im sure the first delivery was perfect on that score (wish i kept it now) but worse still is that the red stripe on all 4 x cab doors is different to the main red stripes along the bodyside which are almost a maroon than a red....itll have to go back. Hooefully 3rd time ill get lucky. What a shame......
Mine is exactly the same with the red stripe.

No Phil is doing both versions!
Phew!! That had me worried as I particularly wanted it as a Bescot based machine.

Absolutely fantastic announcement!! Although I have 16 Hornby Vac's, the rest are going to have to be Accurascale!!

Another vote for a Class 310 here.....the one glaring omission, a WCML EMU on my 1980's based layout.

I was there too......I couldn't have taken any photo's though unfortunately. I remember walking down, in the rain from my Nan's who lived just up the road from Bescot. Oh, to turn back the clock!!

I'd love to see both a 304 and a 310......no chance, I know!

What a fantastic layout, great to see another WCML inspired offering. 87's are also my favorite AC locomotives, I'd love a few more of the new Hornby model, along with Bachmann's long awaited 90!

Those look good, but you have fallen into the same trap that I did. The equipment will normally be on the side of the portal facing the direction of traffic for the line it supplies, not all on the same side.
Andi
Thanks for that Andi, really appreciated. I'll make sure that they're all correct from now on. I never even gave it a thought.

I've not sorted out the bridge properly as yet....just messing around with the wood to see where I need to be. Most certainly work in progress.....I've pretty well demolished the old trackplan and started again, but using the existing scenery in most parts.
Okay, here's a few more shots. I've actually been making the registration arms etc and fitted them this morning. I'm using 3/64 and .032 Brass Rod to make them....along with solder twisted around the rod to replicate the insulators. Crude, but it works for me. As you can see, there are three N-Brass portals already on the layout. They are of the light portal variety. I'd say that the Scale Model Scenery kits are the heavy duty type.

Just to let you all know that there is now an alternative laser cut offering from Scale Model Scenery. I've just purchased a pack of 10 which are going on my layout. Here's a link to the website.... https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/product-category/oo-4mm-176/catenary/?v=79cba1185463
I have modified them slightly, to remove upright girders at the ends of each section and cut away one of the straight girders that would have been attached to the post.

Yes Steve 6mm will do it. Think 8mm looks ok too.
Dave K
8mm.........The wife has some of those in her sewing kit!!! Right, they're mine now!!

Thanks Steve, Carl, Mick. The yellow lines on the terminus station, Mick, I got from Waterloo. Think London bridge has them too. I know these aren't OLE stations, but I liked the look and think it sets off the platforms. Not sure myself what the ruling is on yellow lines. Steve, the tensioning mast wheels, which I think you're talking about, I made using small metal press studs that I got from Hobbycraft. They look similar to the real thing. I make a small pulley set up with them and some brass wire. Then brass wire is wound around them and attached to the mast with solder. I use these masts, like the real thing, to add a little tension to the OLE. I've added a pic. Sorry it's a bit naff and out of focus.
Dave K
Thanks Dave, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I'll just have to modify mine slightly due to a lack of actual wires!! Thanks for getting back to me though, it's a great help. By the way, are they the 6mm stud's?
