Like all  review sites we see only ONE side of the story. Most are rubbish

The queue to get from the car park to the hall is currently taking about an hour to move.

Looks like the organisers have been seriously let down. I wouldn't recommend travelling here.

At the end of the day it is all down to a persons personal perceived perceptions and expectations and everybody is different

I can`t see what all the fuss is about.

I thought the same but then realised that they've done it wrong. The large logo liveries had the BR logo and TOPS number much further apart and nearer the cabs. Even though the grilles are in the way the BR logo should be further to the right next to the grilles, and the numbers further to the left. And the yellow on the cabs extends too far back due to the design of the 66 (one door is yellow, the other blue) so all in all it doesn't quite work.

A completely different class of loco so no real comparison can be made 

Just had a look on Bachmanns website and the 47s have no ETA date and are showing out of stock! Possible quality issue?

Yet the Guild insist on Kettering, Telford and Cleckheaton (if I remember correctly), nothing in the south except for the Reading trade show which I have attended - and it's not a Guild show.

The Cleckheaton show has moved to Doncaster I believe

A bit late to close the stable door

British Gas is only ever about as much use as a chocolate boiler!

We lost the boiler on Wednesday and after eventually getting through to British Gas on Thursday am and surprisingly getting an appointment for Friday between 12.00 and 18.00. Waking on Friday to find it snowing hard and our road covered my wife and I both said " There is no way the gasman will come today " At 12,00 a ring on the door bell and low and behold the gasman cometh. So British Gas cannot be all that bad 

A very strange thing in Bristol we have had two snow flakes and the buses are still running

We've had loads come and go here. Almost always some flakes in the air, but a lot melts during the day to be replenished in almost white-out conditions.

 

I did manage to get the garden railway running at one point, despite a scale 15 feet of snow in places:

 

High winds and light snow now seem to mean only an inch or so ground cover, but drifts starting to appear in some locations. It is almost like white dust. Very cold.

I thought they were quiet clearly visible.

Anybody spot the number plates in the Mad Trainspotters model room 71113 was one that I can recall and I think another was 93013
