Could some kind soul please confirm the radius and crossing angle of the new B7 point kit for me?
I'm sure it's been mentioned here somewhere, I just can't seem to find it.
Further to what Martin said, the crossing angle is 8°10'16" (8 degrees, 10 minutes, 16 seconds).

Existing Gold members are automatically upgraded to WoR Plus.
Thanks. What happens about the extra £20 on the subbscription?

What happens to my existing gold membership if I do nothing?

Well I suppose it shows I can read the form!
Except you might have read it through a pair of reading glasses, and you might need different glasses when driving, etc.

I thought I had to declare that I could still read one when I had to apply for a new licence when I hit 70?
Yes, and so did I. But it doesn't mean that you can.

Why not call the pub the Lechyd Tavern?
I have a superb painting of Glynneath High Street, which shows a chapel surrounded by its graveyard, and the first building next to the graveyard is one of the pubs on the high street.
Incidentally, when I visited my grandparents in the 1950s and 1960s, Western Welsh did run a route into Aberdare. Their buses were not as bright red as your one though; that colour was the Red and White colour. And I deffo remember the strange shape of those double windows in the back.

Indeed - and presumably your friend can still read a numberplate at 20m and also be able to read the wording which accompanies some signs (e.g. 'End', '200 yds') and so would not have trouble reading the signage at an occupation crossing.
You only need to read a nuberplate at whatever distance to pass your test. Once you have passed your test you don't need to take it again unless the judge rules that you must.

Not unless I can find a suitable RTR chassis for it. I'm not yet at the level of being able to fit valve gear in places that aren't designed for it.
I couldn't think of one, but then I saw the picture of the GWR steam railmotor to be released by Kernow, in the (hopefully) not-too-distant future. You could use the power bogie from one of those.

A bit to the north-east of Tonbridge, East Peckham is a bit of a way from Peckham Rye.

Mind you, the parable about building your house on sand springs to mind. What techniques might our railway builders have used to build a railway on sand?
Maybe something similar to what was done on Chat Moss?

Question for Hattons:
I have pre-ordered a fair number of the SECR coaches, but I would like a reasonable rake of six-wheel thirds in addition, which at the moment with everything else that is being released by all and sundry, and me being a humble pensioner, I can't afford. So, after the first release of these SECR coaches is all sold out, will you be re-issuing them?

Will the Fell be ready in time for Delivery this year or will it arrive next year?
That, is the question.
No it isn't. As with all new stuff that I have ordered, the question is "will it be delivered before I join the choir celestial?"

Also, I am planning to create a whole range of GWR light railway locomotives based on the 101, which in this universe was far more succesful than in real life. My first is an 0-4-0 tender engine with inside cylinders, and the first stages are already in the thread above. The only real limit on what can be done is your imagination.
How about outside cylinders and Walschaerts valve gear?

As an ignorant landlubber, I'm wondering why the simple 3-point turn doesn't seem to be part of the matelot's driving test syllabus.
Perhaps because the ship is longer than the canal is wide.

That would be unlikely. The layout being a ‘stay at home’ has only been exhibited twice, once to the MRJ show at Westminster Central Hall, and once in Newcastle.
What was the MRJ show? As I remember them the shows at the Westminster Central Hall were the MRC (Model Railway Club) show.

Yes, i was looking to buy a body and put a far better chassis at a different gauge under it. Can in a way understand John's post above, but think it might produce more sales of parts if the policy wasn't so restrictive. Ahh well will have to wait... or not bother with a 94xx at all.
Sorry I'm so late replying to this: I've been rather sidetracked recently.
I you want just a body, have you thought of buying a loco, and selling the chassis to someone else?

I think manufacturers are scared to touch it, as rumours persist that one manufacturer has been working on it for “several years” already.
So maybe some company that has not been working on it should announce that they are going to produce one.

My copy of this arrived today. It contains a review of KR Models's GT3, which it notes is already fully sold out and rhetorically asks why it is publishing a review of something that ostensibly can no longer be obtained. Amongst the answers it says that "... KR Models has announced plans for a whole raft of other projects, ... and therefore the specification, performance and finish of the sample ... serves to provide a clear indication of what we might expect from these ... future releases."
So, by the same token, why don't they have a review of the ex-GWR 16xx 0-6-0PT being made by Rapido and sold by Kernow on behalf of Model Rail? After all, I would like to know how the ex-GWR 15xx 0-6-0PT which is currently under development by Rapido is likely to perform, which is the reason they used for reviewing the GT3. I know that Railway Modeller and Model Rail are competing publications, but how can Railway Modeller claim to be "at the heart of the hobby" if they deliberately ignore some models like this?
