Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of the Plumpton Green layout are please?

Very nice sketches. May I ask which livery you have used for the Barry Railway sketch?

I am researching the above vehicle, in particular the liveries associated with each era of its history. I am familiar with the Barry Railway livery and the subsequent GW livery. Where I need further clarification is the livery used during nationalisation. The van was vacuum piped. Would I therefore be right in assuming that it carried the bauxite livery of that period?

Does anyone know what's happening with Protocab? I've sent three e-mails in the last two months and have not received a reply yet. Also they have not published a newsletter since last year although their website is still up and running.

We (the Welsh Railways Research Circle) have a table booked at the show but have yet to receive details. Who do we contact about this?

When was the pick up goods train finally phased out on Welsh railways and did it survive into the diesel era? If so, what diesels were used to haul pick up goods trains in Wales, in particular the South-East Valleys?

This looks like a very simple system to use. I note that in some of the You Tube videos, a small circular magnet is placed between two sleepers. This creates the problem of the operator having to hit the right spot to carry out the uncoupling. Is it not possible to put a bar magnet underneath the board running lengthways so that the operator does not have to be so precise in stopping the train at a particular point which if they miss it, leaves them having to move back and fore thus destroying the illusion?

I am interested in commissioning a P4 Barry Railway Motor Car (steam railmotor) and can supply the drawings. Does anyone know of anyone who undertakes this sort of work?

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with the owner of the Clarence Road O gauge model railway which I saw at Cardiff Model Railway Show some years ago?

The only terminus on the Barry Railway was Barry Pier which was a four-road two-outside platform station, hardly a halt. In addition to Old Ynysbwl Halt, the only other 'terminus' was Pontypridd Tram Road Halt on the PC&N from Caerphilly. The line did however run on into Pontypridd (Taff Vale) for coal traffic even though the passenger traffic terminated at Tram Road.
