Well I took the plunge ..... I bought a Dapol loco and some rolling stock and all the mag coupling stuff and it's all working lovely ...... even on the 1st radius, so happy days. I can get my layout started for proper now.

I know the first radius isn't recommended ..... but I've got limited space so I don't have a choice. It's that or nothing.

... and Dave, will it be possible to know which loco's and rolling stock will work with the mag couplers on first radius. I believe some will have problems.

I was told that the new Dapol loco's would come with the mag couplers fitted, but now I'm being told they'll have standard couplers fitted but mag ones supplied in the fittings kit. The latter seems more likely ...... anyone know for sure?

I'm itching to get these magnetic uncouplers on my layout ,,,,,, but I'm a novice and starting from scratch so I want to wait until the locos and rolling stock with them already fitted become available. Anybody know when this'll be?

On the engines I've looked at, the magnetic coupler is too short. I'm told that a longer version is or will be available ..... does anyone know anything about this? ..... and when will the magnetic couplers be fitted as standard on the engines and other rolling stock? I'm going to build an N gauge layout ..... but I want to wait until I know what's happening with the magnetic uncoupling
