  1. The semi conclusion to this event is that Hattons are going to put in an insurance claim form with the Company. They will eventually send me the items to me (hopefully they are still in stock) but cannot do this until it is signed off by one of their Directors. Not good enough, and they should of been proactive yesterday and sent the items out again yesterday and bitten the bullet. The items would of arrived today if sent out by special delivery. The more I ponder the more annoyed I am becoming. Next time I will insist on Royal Mail or Parcel Force delivery in the special request in the order. Although not Hattons fault at first they are the company that are providing the goods and are responsible for the end service provider for the delivery of the items. The outcome of this event though is still no present and a let down for Christmas..
  2. Yodel tracking.....parcel delivered 1447 Z 16 Dec 2014......Nil arrival.....Call Hattons after no show and check with neighbours and search of area (been reading previous incidents)! No card through door to say parcel left.....5 calls to Hattons who eventually get a reply from Yodel 1545 Z 23 December 2014 after finally interviewing the driver. Informed the driver returned to my house today and informed the company that he delivered the item to a 60 year old gentleman with his wife in attendance at the door. All lies as at home all day and incorrect information. £200 order missing and no Christmas presents. Not Hattons fault and very supportive but not good enough!
  3. Speaking to Kerry this morning. CCT price £30-35 and although due in Nov 2014 may be a little earlier. Price rise ( very large in % terms) had not taken into account price rises that Bachmann should of applied when Modlezone announced the release of these items a couple of years ago at around £20. Just to let you know.........
  4. After reading the reviews I bit the bullet and ordered a Thompson 01 from Hornby Hobbies on Ebay with the all in price of £94.98. I must say I am not let down. The packaging was perfect and the model untouched since leaving the factory. It is in the new style packaging which did take some time to remove. I have run the loco in this evening and perfect from the first volts through the motor. So smooth! On the service details instructions it has the reference SK101-89878. This 01 is about the nearest I am going to get a Q6 at Consett! Good luck and hope you have the same results as I have had with my purchase, unless you want to wait until August and pay around £125.

    MRA wagons

Just to keep the thread going until the long awaited arrival of the MRA's in August. There were 6 sets at South Hinksey yard in Oxford this afternoon. One NR yellow and the others Blue/Grey with NR markings, all loaded up and ready for work. Of interest there were also 3 Seacow's next to the ballast heap. The EWS liveried one, mostly held together by rust, had some graffitti next to the sign saying broken door in chalk saying 'Why on earth in the 21st centuary do we have to use these Hoppers they are XXX?' Quite poinient when next to the MRA's!
  6. Bit of help please. I received my TOPS CL 85 the other day and what a nice example it is. I have been running it in and noticed that only the left red rear light works, even when direction is changed. Is this a feature of the lighting on the CL 85 or have I a duff loco? Many thanks in anticipation of your replies.
