Nice one, you've just lowered yourself to a unknown new level of disgust, l hope you are proud, what a contradiction you are, now that you have posted this and broke all your own rules ! Please don't respond !

Dear Andy, I apologise for any offense caused to yourself as administrator, all I ask is that you review comments made by other members on the recent page 21/22 to myself so that you can understand my frustration. I feel other inappropriate comments have gone unchecked. I hope you can see and understand what I mean ! this will be my last post, regards Mike

I am sorry Andy , but have you read their inappropriate comments past earlier on, there seems to be alot of this going on. I am just trying to make helpful suggestions or are you condoning all the sarcasm being directed or is that what you refer to as a perspective of a different nature.

What have values got to do with it ? l am just objecting to unnecessary sarcastic comments by some individuals, Is you comment not inflammatory as are there's , whose getting a knife out ? I made a simple posting today that is all. You are so missing the point. Do you have any useful comments about the model Woodenhead ?

Hi , that sounds brilliant, someone who understands ! Red death and queensquare obviously use forums as a source of amusement and sarcasm, I have been in sheer admiration of all the work done on this project and helped to add my own knowledge and perspective in support of the plans of the plans, as someone who spends time and effort on one of the real remaining 7. Question . Where is their contribution ? Answer. Nowhere ? Not trying to be inflamatory, such tired of people with nothing positive to say. What was that ? something about miniture engines, Oh very good ! In answer to your question, Western Thunderer who l last saw running at Torquay station in 1975, always my favourite and Western Vanguard which l managed to cab at Penzance in 1972 as a 7 year old.........happy days. These will be the first 2 anyway. Well done on providing all the livery info, cheers, Mike.

Dear Jerry, l don't know why you find these posts amusing, as l said, experienced modellers can change their models to suit, l personally don't want to mess with my £150:00 worth of western and so want to buy one that is accurate to the real life example, i.e l would'nt want D1005 with headboard clips as that would be inaccurate and a don't want to start filing bits off. Best Regards, Mike.

Hello Richard, l have to agree with you, the model is all bang on and then someone makes the mistake of not researching the last details, which really is the easy bit, ( check out the books by Adrian Curtis ! )and then decides to model one that had obvious mods and differences, it is ok for the modelers that want to cut up, add on and respray their 52s, that's great, no argument here ! as they are masterpieces when done well. It would make sense to model locos that didn't lose headboard clips, or the ones that were built without them at the end of production there are plenty to choose from.... 1000/1/2/3/4/6/7/8/9/10/11 ..................... and the list goes on. Why not have a classic that we all remember like a weathered blue D1022 for example, or an ex works blue D1021, just 2 examples that had no clips missing, no extra vents anywhere or any strange wipers. Just a question, who decides on the locos to be modeled ? Maybe a poll is an idea for all the members who have contributed to the topic and any other interested parties, just a thought. cheers.

Hi Dave/Mark, one more minor change required, the far left hand panel next to the battery box door on the centre valance is hinged on one side only for access, on the side with the battery charging point and changeover switch it is flat and screwed down and no hinges, cheers guys, Mike.

Hi Dave, excellent, one change needed if possible though, the centre roof panel needs to be turned round, the train heating boiler exhaust and safety valve are on the wrong sides, the exhaust should be visible from the side that has the charging point at the right end of the centre valance ( A end cab to right ) and the safety valve should be visible from the side that has the compressor access panel located under the 3 cooler group grilles. ( B end cab to right ) Does that make sense Dave ? Wipers straight, arms and blades are fixed in line unlike 22's and Hymeks, sorry, but l know everyone wants it Bang on ! Sent in much appreciation of all your work on a fab job, Mike.

Hi Dave, any news on the latest Cad/Cam pictures, cheers.

Hi Tromans, Wipers!!!! Don't worry they will be straight on tomorrows ( hopefully) cad/cam. The slope is definitely there on the cad/cam but not as pronounced as I think you hope it should be ( no bad thing your comments though), so I have a suggestion........... After tomorrows cad/cam we cut metal. Once the first shot is here we can examine the slope a fair bit just to be safe and if we need to alter it a bit then this should be possible before the tool is locked down for its final detail additions. How does this sound? As for the lift rings they will be stainless steel, primed with etching primer and painted. I think between the 'Guru' and yourself / others this will be something special............... Makes me think towards other WR loco's that are poorly represented. Look what we can do by pulling together? Cheers Dave Brilliant Dave, thanks for all your patience and efforts, l am sure the finished article will be something special, l will be ordering a shed load ( pardon the pun ! ) Mike Tromans
