  1. What was the seating capacity of the W&M railbuses?
  2. All 4 W&M railbuses are now showing as in stock at Hattons, so presumably all other model shops will also now have/shortly have them in stock.
  3. The Heljan website now has a new advert showing all 4 W&M railbuses as in stock at Heljan. 8701 is shown as sold out at Heljan, so people will need to be quick to get this one (E79962, Dark Green). Looking forward to receiving the one that I have on order.
  4. News Update taken from Heljan website - dated 4th August 2011: 'OO' class 23 'Baby Deltic' We apologise for the delayed release of this product which has been caused by the need to correct the livery samples we have received. We are now assured these keenly awaited models will be with us end September. As you may already know, these are all 'pre-sold' but the next batch of these locos are expected in December. Details of these can be found on on our web as well as at your local Heljan retailer - don't delay in placing your order!
  5. News Update taken from Heljan website - dated 4th August 2011: 'OO' Waggon & Maschinenbau railbus The first running samples have been received and are currently undergoing testing. The first releases are expected in November and we are close to selling out, so if you need to place your order, please do so now to avoid disappointment. 'OO' AC Cars railbus The second vehicle in our proposed railbus series has now proceeded to tooling and again advance orders are welcomed.

    Model Rail Sentinel

Hi all, Likewise an LNER version, received safely in Birmingham this morning. I would also reiterate the previous comments that these models have been very well packed to cope with the Royal Mail, all credit to Kernow and also to Model Rail magazine for taking the decision to use KMRC to handle and despatch the orders. David
  7. I saw the pre-prod at York and was really impressed - I'd also be interested in a 3-car 144 in original red/cream livery. Looking forward to hearing what the next MU project is in due course, thanks Charlie & Arran for taking the brave plunge into RTR manufacture! Best wishes, David
  8. Hi everyone, Looking at the photos on the Hattons website, the blackened pick-ups do seem to make the models look much better than the first releases with the shiny copper ones David
  9. Did any RMWebbers manage to take any photos at Warley to post on here? - it would be interesting to see progress for those of us who weren't able to get to the NEC. Best wishes, David
  10. One of the "busiest" preserved layouts I have seen is the "Museum of Transport" which I saw at the Bakewell Exhibition in June (and made a special trip there to see) - http://museumoftransport.webs.com/ This certainly goes down the pack in as much as possible route and does! - but it was very popular at the exhibition as there was so much happening, indeed was always something moving. It's appearing at the Leeds show at the end of October, do keep an eye out for it if you are going and see what you think! It certainly is the ultimate answer to running what you want, including a railplane, monorail and a hot air balloon. Great fun! - I think it's been on the exhibition circuit for many, many years - and it really does show what you can fit into 18 feet by 3 and a half feet if you try hard enough! David

    Model Rail Sentinel

Hi Chris, The photos of the engineering prototype that are in the latest issue of Model Rail really do look impressive, with some fine details such as the open chimney cover. I was at Model Rail Live and enjoyed the bumpy brakevan ride behind the "real" Sentinel. I look forward to further details (and pricing!) in MR150, and to adding one to my layout in due course. Best wishes, David
  12. Thanks for posting, really enjoyed watching ... David
  13. New information now on Hattons website - they are now being shipped by sea from China! - "Customers who have a preorder for the one (or more) of Heljan Class 14 Teddy Bears will be pleased to hear that production has now been completed in China, and these are expected into stock in the new year. The journey from China to Denmark will take 6 or 7 weeks (by boat), there will be a period of checking and then they will be sent to us." There wil be: - 1400: D9500, BR Green - 1401: 14029, BR Blue - 1402: No. 31, NCB No images as yet on the website of the finished models. Best wishes, David
