    Please bear in mind this is a pre-production model from the Hornby stand at Warley - there will be a number of errors that have not been corrected yet - including the rear bufferbeam!

    Tony Wright has just reviewed both the new Bachmann models (or should that be chassis?) of the A4 and B1. While the A4 chassis fixings are different, the B1 retains the same single screw fixing.

    The Festival of British Railway Modelling offers visitors two fantastic days of working model railway layouts, shopping and FREE modelling demonstrations. The Doncaster Exhibition Centre is located in the heart of Yorkshire and its excellent location and tradition with the railways provides a brilliant venue for this first rate railway modelling event. The Festival will include 30 layouts in the popular scales and gauges, many of which have been hand picked by the British Railway Modelling team. On display will be some of the UK's finest layouts including The Gresley Beat (OO), Ormsgil (G), Rowntree Halt (OO), Kiln Road (OO) and Melton Mowbray North (N) Excellence and expertise will be showcased in the celebrated BRM Village bringing together clubs, associations, societies and enthusiasts who will offer advice, tips and superb demonstrations across the course of the weekend. Whether new to the hobby or an experienced modeller, this is a great place to discuss all aspects of modelling. As well as 30 layouts and demonstrations, there will also be over 80 exhibitors selling everything from ready built model trains, track, tools, parts and accessories. Alongside the traditional exhibitor will be over 23 specialist companies bringing with them hard to source and unique items which will help all discerning modellers improve or complete their layouts. Hornby have kindly agreed to sponsor the childrens area where our younger visitors can take part in a colouring competition. Older children can take part in the layout quiz and are encouraged to interact with the layout operators to find out the answers!
