I'd be happy to share! I just made a Thingiverse account and uploaded the files, but it says I won't be able to publish it for 24 hours since I just signed up. When it publishes, I'll post the link here.

Thanks for the suggestions! I might have to invest in a gear puller to see if I can service this myself.
A new motor would seem the easiest, but Bachmann Spares shipping to the U.S. is £25.00.

My Bachmann Jinty has started acting up.
When I apply power (no matter how much) the motor makes a scratching sound and moves incredibly slowly — same in forward or reverse no matter what way the locomotive is turned (see video)
Eventually after a minute or two of this, it jerks to life and runs perfectly. However if you turn off the power, then turn it up again, the process starts all over.
I’ve removed the motor completely and applied power to it and it still does this, so obviously not an issue with gears, wheels or power from the track.
Any ideas?

yesterday at a motorway service station I purchased a so-called ‘Phat’ Cornish Pastie.
Nice to see they've caught up with late-'90s parlance!

A real one I know of was SR King Arthur Class 770 which was supposed to be named "Sir Priamus," but the nameplate read "Sir Prianius."

This video on the bridge collapse from NBC News interviews Kevin Heaslip, head of the University of Tennessee's Center for Transportation Research. My wife is his executive assistant at the CTR.

Cool! As an aside, we drove through Etowah (we live in Knoxville) on the way to Delano to ride the Santa Hiwassee Holiday Train on the Tennessee Valley Railroad for my birthday back in December.

Looks fantastic! I have some ancestors who lived in Radcliffe and Whitefield, so it's very interesting to see what the railway looked like in this general area. The moss/weathering on the buildings is excellent!

My wife, when still my girlfriend, got me a little Bachmann N-gauge train set for my 27th birthday that resparked my interest in trains that hadn't happened since I was 13. And the current railway obsession was sparked in November 2020 upon receiving her great-grandfather's old HO Tyco trains to run under the Christmas tree. By Christmas Day, I had not only discovered British outline trains, but had since purchased a Mainline Royal Scot and two coaches and had them running under the tree on a raised proto-layout with a grassmat and station.
These days she thinks I spent too much money and time on the hobby ("Are you in there playing trains again?" or "More train stuff? When are you ever gonna stop with the train stuff?") and seems to have in general a very dim view of what she technically started!
And then randomly last week she asked me if I had ever thought about making a small layout for a railway exhibition.

I always enjoy seeing photos of the Locke's Sidings signal box -- L&YR goodness.

I don't think the Baby Deltic is ugly at all -- it's a lot better looking that a regular Deltic to me.

Is IPA available off the shelf in the UK in the same way as it seems to be in the US and Canada?
As strange thing here though is that it is impossible to find the 99% IPA in stores. Most stores tend to just sell 75% or 50% IPA. I used to have a bottle of 91% from Walmart, but they seem to only sell the 75% stuff now. Gotta go to the Internet for the good stuff.

The long barrow crossing over all that complex trackwork is very inspiring! Make me want to try my hand at something like that on my layout (there's not nearly that much track, though).

Is this the one with plastic wheels and traction tires on the power bogie, or did they do an upgraded version?

I'm having sort of a similar problem on my Bachmann Class 105 power car, but it's with the brass prongs from the chassis plate that receive power from the front (unpowered) bogie that are supposed to make contact with the roof plate to power the interior lights/destination blind. No matter how much I polish, clean and bend the prongs and/or plate, they just won't make contact. If I apply power and push down on the roof where the prongs are supposed to touch, the lights will flicker on, but go off immediately when pressure is removed. The unpowered car doesn't have these problems and lights up just fine. These brass prongs and plate arrangements are very suspect.

Apologies if this has been posted before. Ol' Gostude at it again. Especially hilarious is the shipping price here to the U.S.

The buffing/polishing looks really effective! What did you use to get that look?

Maybe it’s reverse Network Southeast — Network Northwest.
Now I really want a Bachmann Class 45 and alter it with all these wild additions!

With all the consternation over in the SLW Class 25 thread, it really makes me appreciate my 2003 Bachmann Class 25 repaint. Maybe not that accurate, but its slow-speed control is great.
