  1. Morning, I trust this helps, it's the full set of instructions for the whole range. Apologies for the page order, the original is in the form of a booklet. Regards Mike MR 54ft stock PC Models instructions.pdf
  2. While we're taking private owner wagons, has anyone seen the new range of 3D printed RY Pickering wagons from scottishwagonworks.com? They're starting with 7mm ones but then introducing them at 4mm scale as well. The initial offering is a cupboard door variety but they aim to have the drop door variants available in the future. They should complement Andy's Gloucester and Roberts ones quite nicely
  3. All I can say as a former Chair of Governors is make sure your safeguarding records are spotless, oh and good luck of course
  4. There is a reference in the Laycock article which contains a typo. It refers to an earlier article by Keith Turton and is about Charles Roberts. It should actually refer to Volume 23 Part 8 page 287 (for a mention of Laycock) The article starts on page 285. Kelly's directory (1906, 1910 and 1914) lists Robert Laycock as being the coal merchant for Lazonby, agent for Pope & Pearson, Carlton Main and Glasshoughton Collieries.
  5. Morning Neil and Jamie, I'm modelling Lazonby so would be extremely interested in a couple of sets of Laycock's POWsides transfers, most particularly nos 35 and 36. Re-reading the article, I don't believe that the livery was amended to suit the destination, these were just the initial instructions. In terms of kits, I am trying to persuade Andy Vincent to produce the 1887 Charles Roberts 5 plank wagon, but apart from the RCH drawings in the Ince Waggons book, no reliable evidence has yet come to light. Regards Mike Allerton
  6. Mine also arrived today, although sadly the Journal was missing the middle 8 pages with I gather most of Stephen's presumably excellent article. I have reported this to the relevant authorities so hope to see a full copy in due course. Dave Basford has produced an etched kit for the 700 class, which apparently I will be officially receiving on Monday, following the visit of number 1 offspring to wrap it yesterday. It is occasionally available on a well known online auction site.
  7. According to the Northern Mines Research Society, the Newmarket, Spencer Pit was at Stanley, Wakefield and operated from 1888 to 1913 https://www.nmrs.org.uk/assets/mines/coal/yorkshire/1854/N.html
  8. Now Andy, if you were to do the 1897 Charles Roberts 5 plank side door, that would be really interesting ... I've recently discovered a need for a few.
