The Ely & District Model Railway Club is pleased to confirm that our annual exhibition returns after a gap of two years because of the pandemic. The date is confirmed as Saturday 21 May 2022 and will take place at the usual venue, the Ely College, Downham Road, Ely, CB6 3DY. This year’s exhibition is dedicated to our former exhibition manager, Malcolm Hine, who sadly passed away last November. He had organised 16 previous exhibitions.
The exhibition opens from 10.30 to 16.30, admission is £6 for adults, £3 for children (5-16), under fives free, with a family ticket at £15. We hope to be able to accept card payments More details can be found on the club’s Facebook page and our website https://elymrc.org.uk.
Layouts attending include Bishops Lane Brewery (7mm/O), Nonsuch (7mm narrow gauge), Burnham (4mm/OO), Templefield (4mm/OO), War & Peace Rolvenden (4mm/OO), Shortwaite Hill (4mm/OO9), Royston Wharf (4mm/OO9), Orford (7mm/O), Questa (7mm/On30), Bay City Terminal Railroad (HO), Longstone (1:24/Gn15), Scarborough North Bay Railway (4mm/OO9). Royston & District Model Engineering will be in attendance with live steam. Demonstrations include wagon building, Tony Wright's Loco Clinic and Gauge 1 wagons. Traders include Bob Pearman Books, H&A Models, Layouts 4 U, Great Eastern Models, Coastal DCC, Railway Memories, Great Eastern Transport Films, Railway Memorabilia and Just in Case (model storage).
