I do intend to deposit a hand full of ‘sheeps’ on that side where it levels out but I had considered some wild flowers (no idea how to do that though really)Apparently finely grated children's wax crayons are good at representing flowers, not that I've ever done it myself.

I sent a message via the Bay:
Hi, In what sense is this loco "new" when it appears to have been repainted (and badly at that)? Surely it should be advertised as "used"?
And the reply
Possibly not used.its white metal kit build not a repaint.muat have been something my father saw almost certainly a industrial shunter
Didn't know Triang did WM kits!

I reckon an early spring ride on the S&C would do wonders.

Sharing some photos of the Shops on a Slope, although most are on the level. There're steps and pavements to be added. The 2mm thickness sheets from ChrisInDen Models was card after all and not 3-ply.
Next to C E Adams (Butcher)are adapted Low Relief House Fronts & Shops. I've made them even more low relief to fit their position. At the far righthand side of the photo is a standard low relief terrace with pillar post box.

Then again maybe not....I'm fairly sure that Anthea was repeating something originally done by Val Singleton, although I might be miss remembering it. Although I did have all of the toys as a youngster including Tracy Island and that was way before the 90s.....I was at school for heavens sake. I left school in 77. Thunderbirds was first broadcast in 1965! We still had black and white TV then. We didn't get full colour service until Nov. 69.
Regards Lez.
You're quite right @lezz01. It was Val Singleton who made the original BP Tracy Island. I remember watching it in B&W. It was only in 1993 when Thunderbirds was repeated did BP revived the model again due to a shortage of the real model in the toy shops.

There is a selection of RCH drawings for the 1887 and later specification in Tony Watts' Ince book, still available from the HMRS at the bargain price of £7:

I just put one on "Classifieds" for £10! but I could include the postage in that.

RM must be on fire. I only posted it 2nd class yesterday, but then it didn't have far to go! Enjoy.

Looking good so far, Chris. It would have been a rough piece of ground.

My only problem with the listing was that it was titled "kit built" and they're blatantly not.
If I didn't already have 3 Oxford toads, 2 Mainline, 2 Bachmann and a couple of genuine kit built items from D&S and Ratio, I'd almost certainly be buying that little lot, weathering them, changing the depot branding and the couplings and putting them on the layout.
I contacted him via eBay and he's removed the "Kit-Built" description.

Thanks to @Rowsley17D taking pity on my compulsive completism and offering to sell me his surplus volumes - he says he has had from them all the information he requires - I now have the complete set!
If anybody is lacking Vols 3, 7-9, 11, 13 of Turton I have those surplus too!
PM me if interested.

The next set of a house and shop has been finished save for chimney pots. Here it is in the second photo next to its deeper cousin from which it is derived. There may be a break from shop/house building as there are 101 other things needing attention on the layout before the second round of chemo starts in mid-January. I opted for this as it doesn't preclude an op at a later date which only has a 1 in 5 chance of seeing the cancer not return.

I think (and stand to be corrected by those who know or have remembered better) that you make individual grass tufts with static grass, apply a little PVA to the tuft ends and dip in the grated crayon. Best to experiment, I think.
