  1. Top notch! Really brings the scene to life Jerry. Nice one. Woody
  2. Hi, I might be missing something but the wiring through the CDU switch and point motor looks fine but from the limited view you may have the power source as the 12v DC output of the controller. The CDU needs an uncontrolled output of about 16v AC to work. 12v DC will not work the CDU. The controller that is in the picture looks as though it may be from a starter set without an AC output. If you have any more platform work to do some masking tape over the parts that you don't want polyfiller on saves a lot of cleaning up afterwards. Hope the above is of use. Woody
  3. Another classic layout in the making. I like your style Jerry - very inspirational. Look forward to seeing you progress on this project. Woody
  4. Great modelling Luke. Very atmospheric and detailed. You should be really pleased and proud. Woody
  5. WOW! Some serious and very impressive progress in the last couple of weeks. I like your desire to try different things like the sleeper spacing and DDC wiring and all done so successfully! Keep up the great work and you are going to have a great layout. Woody
  6. Hello Kevin, Not sure what to say apart from so sorry to hear about what has happened. I just hope that you will continue to carry on modelling and not let this put you off. You obviously have a skill and talent which is appreciated by all here. Woody
  7. You are doing a great job. The main thing is enjoy what you are doing and be proud of what you achieve which in view of what you have achieved you should be proud, if that all makes sense! Woody
  8. Great progress Luke. You seem to build layouts faster then I can read about them! Woody
  9. Fantastic progress and superb modelling! You should be really pleased and proud of what you are achieving. It will be great to see some rolling stock on the track once you are finished. Woody
  10. Do like that canal scene - lots of atmosphere and some really nice detailing. The swans are great and the water is looking good with the wake of the boats. Woody
  11. Hello Kevin, For someone who is modelling in a 'unknown' area you are producing things that look great. Experimentation can produce wonderful results as Alan Downes found out when he started using wood dye to colour plastic stone sheets all those years ago. Carry on what you are doing and you'll have a lot of fun and produce something that you will he proud of. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Woody
  12. It's great to see a layout passed on and then further developed and whilst retaining the character created by it's original builder (you did a fantastic job on that Jerry) take on a new look as the new owner develops it. You obviously have a plan and skills to do the original full justice Kevin and I really look forward to seeing the layout develops. Woody
  13. Hi Phil, Great layout and so nice to see a layout refurbished and developed rather than scrapped - seems that it is good and competent hands under your care. Good to know a bit of Britain's railways exists in Austria in model form! Hope you will post more. Woody
