    As someone who has had good all round apprenticeship in railway modelling and is coming up to retirement I am looking at S Scale as a possible candidate for something more of a challenge now I have a bit more time. Having looked at the S Scale web site and this forum there seems to be a lack of locomotives with outside valve gear either Walschearts or any other. Why? Not too difficult surely.
