I grew up in Burton and travelled this line many times. As I recall, the wagon repair depot was there in the eighties, possibly earlier, and seemed to do a good trade on the MGR wagons. There was small depot to the south that always had a few things on it, it closed in the early eighties I believe. There was a good mixture of traffic through the areas and a variety of loco classes that went through.
