    Which version?

The original build, probably Gresley teaks or perhaps Pullman coaches.  For the rebuilt version in BR livery, probably Gresley, Thomson or BR Mk 1 coaches in Carmine and Cream livery, but possibly faux teak livery or maroon depending on your time period.  In essence it probably hauled pretty much the same stock as you would put behind an A3 / A4 or similar express passenger locomotive operating on the East Coast Mainline.

Thanks, was thinking as much, but good to have some confirmation, appreciated

  2. I'm looking for near-ish replica of the attached style. Could be card, downloadable, plastic kit, MDF kit, r-t-r etc etc. Near enough would do tbh. 4mm/OO scale. Just the actual steel bridge structure, wing-walls etc not an issue. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

  3. I am building a model of an LD&ECR station. It is known that doors, window frames and ironwork were painted "green". No details of what green exist. The same colour was used on signal boxes according to research. All that survives of the original green is some which survived on the inside of doors of Ollerton goods shed - these attached. Obviously shades fade & weather greatly over time and this paint had been there for a 100 years when these pic's were taken, but these were on the inside, so give an indication. Any suggestions what the original green might have been, or maybe suggestions as which current paint products might suffice as a reasonable stab at it?

  4. I know that Phoenix Precision do a Blue Brick paint, but it appears to be only as a tin. I'm not into airbrushing, so wondered if anyone knew of an equivalent that is obtainable in aerosol can.

Also looking for an equivalent for Hornby 88 - mid green - again only available in tins - any equivalent in aerosols?

and finally, looking for a spray paint for welsh slate roof - any pointers.

    Thanks in advance
