I have to agree with scots region on this one. The CGI is gorgeous, the problem is the head writer of the past few seasons. Next season a new head writer who actually wrote some of the stories from the glory days is taking over so we can only hope it will improve.
Their is only 2 writers they need. Rev W. Awdry and Christopher Awdry. They wrote enough books to give them plenty of stories to last a long time - no need to make up some of the rubbish they have in the name of entertainment.
There are around 200 stories in The Railway Series books, and now over 400 episodes in the TV series. To keep series going they had to create original stories but indeed they could have done a better job.
