It's not a turbine electric, but might give some suggestions to a turbine that was designed for coal hauling and was successful...

Screw in crankpins, common head size with Hornby. (Possibly even made by the same supplier.) The centre axle secured by a slotted screw.
Before dismantling check from the underside to see if any of the side rods could be catching. It only needs a little bend to have a momentary snag occur while running.

Please allow clubs to follow whatever decision making and notification processes they have to go through before they are ready to make public announcements. We don't need 'any news' posts putting pressure on people to deal with individual enquiries - I had a belly full of it over the weekend with respect to Ally Pally, dealing with some people who felt they should be told before everything else was sorted out.
Very sorry you've got a belly full.

There was a great little article on how someone had converted a LMS brake and composite coach into a push and pull coach. Shame it wasn't a detailed 'how to', as I would of bought a copy.

Love those Birmingham New Street and International photos. Apart of my old stomping ground, in my day. Never seen an 86 double header though.
Thanks.

If youve ever wanted to own a collection of 43 LMS Maroon Patriot 5541 R311 Duke of Sutherlands, now here is your chance...
The good news is ebay is currently listing another 9 so you could have the option of owning a round number of 51 and have potential to do the whole fleet.
I was look last night for a Duke of Sutherland on eBay, but in BR livery.

This has inspired me to find a place on my layout, for some Cobblestone/Sets.

Mookie,
Highly impressive stuff there, you have done a fantastic job and it is clearly such a neat solution. The baseboard looks great too; you mention there are three sections that fold up - have you got a shot of the overall layout? I'm always intrigued by hinged/folding baseboards and like to see how others have gone about it. Your woodworking skills are clearly superb!!
Cheers,
David
